in the 1980s<\/h2>\n<p>The company Allan Ploug A\/S was founded by Allan Ploug on 1 January 1980 as a personally owned company. Allan originally trained as a carpenter and motorway engineer, but when the government chose to abolish the function of motorway engineer, he had to find another way in life.<\/p>\n<p>Allan made the decision to start his own business after working for various companies dealing with insulation for a number of years.<\/p>\n<p>In 1982, the company was converted into Allan Ploug ApS and in 1989, the company became Allan Ploug A\/S.<\/p>\n<h2>The company\u2019s competences<\/h2>\n<p>With Allan\u2019s experience in energy optimisation and insulation of technical installations, technical insulation quickly became the company\u2019s core competence. After a few years as a freelancer, through his network, Allan was given the opportunity to submit a tender for a new task in which he had to remove asbestos from piping that was being replaced in connection with a renovation.<\/p>\n<p>Allan Ploug A\/S won the task and in order to be able to carry it out, he invested in the equipment necessary for this type of task. This meant that the competences were expanded so that the company could also perform smaller demolition tasks \u2013 and since then, demolition and environmental remediation have also been among the company\u2019s main competences.<\/p>\n<p>The technical insulation tasks led to a demand for fire seals. In other words, both sons have an educational background that supports the skills needed in a company like Allan Ploug A\/S.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the company is managed by the two brothers together, and Allan Ploug A\/S consists of a team of committed and competent employees with skilled project managers and approx. 60 fitters, each of whom covers their professional area within the company\u2019s core areas \u2013 insulation, fire, environmental remediation + advisory services within their fields.<\/p>\n<h2>We take responsibility for people and environment<\/h2>\n<p>We take our social responsibility seriously.
